 Business journalists cover stockholders’ meetings, mergers and acquisitions, and report on corporate misdemeanors. But when they hear of a company embarking on an advocacy or donating to a good cause, more often than not, they shrug it off and keep it on the shelf for use on a slow news day.

Beth Lui is Accenture's Philippines Country Managing Director. She is at the helm of Philippine operations with close to 11 ,000 people providing application outsourcing, back-office and front-office business process processing to more than 60 global clients in its portfolio. She is now a sought-after speaker on outsourcing, and frequently helps the Philippine government pitch the country to prospective clients as a preferred destination for offshore outsourcing services.

 James Velasquez is currently the President and Country General Manager for IBM Philippines with responsibility for overall IBM business operations in the Philippines. He is a current member of IBM ASEAN/SA Leadership Group (ALG), the ASEAN/SA Leadership Team (ALT) and Philippines Leadership. He also serves as Chairman of IBM Philippines, Chairman of ISD Incorporated, Director of Asia Pacific College and a member of the following organizations, The Makati Business Club, Management Association of the Philippines and the Philippine Business for Social Progress.
Mr. Bacani recently received the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for 2006.

 Ramon R. del Rosario, Jr. is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Philippine Investment Management (PHINMA), Inc. and President and Vice-Chairman of Bacnotan Consolidated Industries, Inc. He is also Chairman of the PHINMA Education Network, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AB Capital and Investment Corporation, Chairman of United Pulp and Paper Company, and serves on the Boards of Directors of Ayala Land, Inc., Holcim Philippines, Roxas Holdings, Inc., Bacnotan Consolidated Industries, and Trans Asia Oil and Energy Development Corp., which are listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange, and Nasdaq-listed eTelecare Global Solutions, Inc.
Mr. Del Rosario served as the Philippines’ Secretary of Finance under President Fidel V. Ramos from 1992 to 1993. Mr. Del Rosario is a graduate of Harvard Business School.
